I agree wit cdog.
I think it's Real Madrid's go this time, or Barcas go.
Real madrid have won the European champion league 9 times and the spanidh league 29 times where as Barca, theyv'e won the champions league 2 times and the Spanish league 18.
That mostly says that Real Amdrid is going to go further in the 06/07 Champions league, than Barcalona.
I reckon they'll win it.
My fav player is Ronaldinho!!!
In the Aussie Soccer team, Harry Kewel!!!

I saw Barca play Levski and Real Madrid play Lyon.
Good win for Barca, but i couldn't believe Real Madrid got beaten by Lyon.
Well i suppose thay lost to the French league champions.

Now that we've gotten the 1st round past us lets see where we are at>>
Group A
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Barcelona.... (1) .. 3 .. 5
Chelsea...... (2) .. 3 .. 2
Werder Bremen (3) .. 0 ..-2
Levski Sofia. (4) .. 0 ..-5
I don't think there's much surprise here. For all Moaninho complains about this being such a tough group, I don't think anyone expects anything other than Barcelona & Chelsea to go through.
Group B
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Bayern Munich (2) .. 3 .. 4
Sporting..... (3) .. 3 .. 1
Inter Milan.. (1) .. 0 ..-1
Spartak Mosc. (4) .. 0 ..-4
Inter losing at Lisbon has got to be an upset. I am sure that having the Serie A league starting so late has hurt them. They may still prevail, but they've now got a hole to dig out of. One loss to the wrong team could just see you miss out on advancing (just ask Man United).
Group C
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Liverpool.... (1) .. 1 .. 0
PSV Eindhoven (2) .. 1 .. 0
Bordeaux..... (3) .. 1 .. 0
Galatasaray.. (4) .. 1 .. 0
Well - this one is a real slugfest. I really think we saw the two teams to advance play each other and the two teams to not advance play each other here. We didn't really learn anything. Liverpool does better by getting the road point than PSV.
Group D
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Roma......... (2) .. 3 .. 4
Valencia..... (1) .. 3 .. 2
Olympiakos... (3) .. 0 ..-2
Shaktar Don.. (4) .. 0 ..-4
Roma & Valencia start off their group well with wins - expect those 2 to go through.
Group E
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
St. Bucuresti (3) .. 3 .. 3
Lyon......... (2) .. 3 .. 2
Real Madrid.. (1) .. 0 ..-2
Dynamo Kiev.. (4) .. 0 ..-3
Ok - the standings look strange now, but as with group C, that's because the two favorites start off against one another. Look for Lyon to win this group and Madrid to bounce back but finish 2nd.
Group F
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Man United... (1) .. 3 .. 1
Benfica...... (3) .. 1 .. 0
FC Copenhagen (4) .. 1 .. 0
Celtic....... (2) .. 0 ..-1
Man United will not struggle this year like last. They have come out of the games with ALL cylinders firing. Look for Benfica & Celtic to go down the stretch for the 2nd slot.
Group G
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
Arsenal...... (1) .. 3 .. 1
FC Porto..... (2) .. 1 .. 0
CSKA Moscow.. (3) .. 1 .. 0
Hamburg SV... (4) .. 0 ..-1
Arsenal starts off as expected. Porto only getting a draw at home has to be considered a bit of an upset. Either Hamburg or Moscow could create problems for Porto.
Group H
Team........ Seed Pts, GD
AC Milan..... (1) .. 3 .. 3
Lille........ (2) .. 1 .. 0
Anderlecht... (4) .. 1 .. 0
AEK Athens... (3) .. 0 ..-3
The late goal ruined Lille's start. Milan will win this group in a landslide. However, I'd expect Lille to prevail over Athens & Anderlecht.
So, here's my 2 cents.......
Group A - Barcelona, Chelsea - Bremen to UEFA Cup
Group B - Bayern, Sporting - Inter to UC
Group C - Liverpool, PSV - Galatasaray to UC
Group D - Roma, Valencia - Olympiakos to UC
Group E - Lyon, Real Madrid - Dynamo Kiev to UC
Group F - Man United, Benfica - Celtic to UC
Group G - Arsenal, Hamburg - Porto to UC
Group H - AC Milan, Lille - Anderlecht to UC

Looks like Inter's set to be this year's choker team, after Milan in 1999, Bayern in 2003 and Man Utd last year.
One nation, one obsession, one addiction

RE: Champions League 2006/07
Good news for Barca
Jose Mourinho fears a striker crisis ahead of Chelsea's trip to Barcelona after admitting Andriy Shevchenko and Didier Drogba are struggling.
Chelsea manager Mourinho revealed he lost Shevchenko before kick-off at Sheffield United with a leg muscle injury - then watched as Drogba limped out of action at the interval with a damaged right foot.
Both are now big doubts for the Champions League visit to the Nou Camp on Tuesday but Mourinho insisted he would seek inspiration from third-choice goalkeeper Hilario, whose early penalty save helped seal Saturday's 2-0 success at Bramall Lane.
Mourinho said: "In the first game against Barcelona we played without two keepers and maybe now is the time to play without two forwards and I will just take defenders and midfielders."
Mourinho would not be drawn on the extent of Shevchenko's injury but added of the withdrawal of Drogba: "It was not a precaution - he could not play. He is in a lot of pain at the moment."
