I think the best is Italian league even if they have problems now .... Second best is Spanish, third English and fourth Spanish.... overall I think.

It would be nice to see how much are players worth together from each league

Yeah, I second to this.  Although Spanish clubs won European Cup more than clubs in any other league, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF made this record.  This reflects the state of La Liga more or less.  There have been some ups and downs, but best and greatest players in the world have played for these two clubs, and their performances have been exceptional, but there is a recognizable gap between these two clubs and other clubs in La Liga.  EPL looks more balanced.  Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are the big four in recent years.  If you look back 10, 20 years, other clubs played so much better than these four. Emma,

How would you feel if the SPL merged with the EPL?

I would hate it, for one there wouldn't be a Scottish cup anymore. secondly most teams would loose there fans mainly Celtic and Rangers i think because they wouldn't be winning trophies every season or winning games week in week out.

I have to agree with you!! Gattuso has said that his one season in Scotland, for Rangers in '97-'98 made him a tougher player!!

Serie A won't be entertaining football fans around the world next season or even the season after the next season.  Too bad ...

RE: Which is the best league?

The best league is the English Premier League. There is not that much difference between all the teams.
It is this that keep the interest in the Premier League alive.
Ask Chelsea after drawing with Reading.
